The 2022 Valo Adelaide 500 marked the final time a Holden raced in the Supercars Championship and there's not too many races that are better in Australian motorsport to celebrate the final swansong for the famous brand, especially after a short absence of the famous street circuit from the calendar.
To acknowledge the occasion, Walkinshaw Andretti United, a team who perhaps has one of the most long standing and famous associations with the Holden brand in pit lane after racing as the official factory backed team for many years - rolled out a stunning tribute livery raced by both Chaz Mostert and Nick Percat at the final round.
The white and black Commodore features the original style black lion and racing helmet on the sides, reminiscent of the liveries raced by the team in the early 90s along with a special thank you message to the red army on the roof.
It's a special, fitting livery for a significant moment in the history of the main game of Australian motorsport that pays tribute to a brand that means so much to so many.
